"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
One of the first protestant churches in California, First Baptist Church of San Francisco was dedicated on August 5, 1849. God has worked powerfully in the past of this church and we give thanks for the men and women of faith who laid the foundation on which we build. We rejoice in our past and look forward with faith that the best years of this church are in the future!

We also have a history room in the church with atrifacts and documents from our history. If you would like to visit the history room or learn more about FBCSF's rich history please contact Miriam Peterson or Gwen Gilbo through the church office.
